KONSTANTINOS KATRADIS: A candidate with experience in the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry elections.

Konstantinos Katradis, with a long and successful career in the maritime industry, is running for a position on the Board of Directors of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the aim of contributing substantially to the strengthening of local entrepreneurship and the development of the economy of Piraeus. With a deep knowledge of the challenges the businesses are facing  and a clear vision for the future, Mr. Katradis focuses on issues such as sustainable development, technological innovation and support for small and medium-sized enterprises. In the following article, he shares his reasons for running, his plans for the Chamber and his proposals for improving the region’s business environment.

“It is with great honor and sense of responsibility that I announce my candidacy for the upcoming elections of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As a representative of the company KATRADIS, which has been active since 1936 in the industrial sector and has made a dynamic contribution to the local and national economy, I believe that I can contribute substantially to the further development of our industry and to the support of the businesses of Piraeus.

KATRADIS’ long history in the industry, combined with our expertise and innovative practices, makes me ready to promote the following priorities:

  • Strengthening the competitiveness of local industries: My goal is to promote programs that support innovation and technology in our businesses to meet the demands of the global marketplace and create new opportunities for extroversion.
  • Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises: Small and medium-sized enterprises are the heart of our economy. I will work to facilitate access to financial instruments and to improve the regulatory framework for their operation so that they have the strength and means to grow and prosper.
  • Promote sustainability and green growth: Our industries need to be adapted to modern requirements for environmental responsibility. Our industries need to adapt to the modern requirements of the modern economy.
  • Cooperation and networking: by strengthening cooperation between Piraeus businesses, we can build a strong network that promotes the exchange of ideas and mutual support. My aim is to encourage joint initiatives that promote innovation and business excellence.
  • Training and human resources development: Employees are the driving force of any business. I am committed to work and create training programmes that will enhance the skills of staff to meet the modern needs of industry.
